Job summary

Arrow Dental Clinic in Hermiston, Oregon is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to support the dentist in providing high-quality care. You will prepare treatment rooms, pass instruments, expose radiographs, and assist with patient comfort and safety.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, completed dental assisting program, X-ray certification, and strong organizational and communication skills. EFDA certification is a plus and BLS may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of Accredited Dental Assisting Program or equivalent.
• EFDA Certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares treatment room for patient by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
• Welcomes, seats and drapes patient for dental treatment.
• Passes instruments and assists dentist during procedures.
• Exposes radiographs and aids in processing study casts.
• Maintains infection control and safety standards.
• Educates patients on oral hygiene and postoperative care.
• Documents services in patient records.
• Maintains supplies and equipment inventories.
