Job summary

Arrow Dental Clinic in Hermiston is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to support the dentist in providing dental treatment. This role prepares treatment rooms, patient and instruments, passes instruments and materials, and performs procedures in compliance with the dental practice act.

This position offers a $3,000 sign-on bonus and contributes to a team delivering routine care and restorative therapy across Oregon.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of Accredited Dental Assisting Program or equivalent.
• Expanded Functions (EFDA) Certificate preferred.
• Two years dental office experience preferred.
• X-Ray certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares treatment room for patient by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
• Welcomes and seats patients, explains procedures, and drapes patient.
• Passes instruments and provides materials to dentist during treatment.
• Exposes radiographs, pours and trims study casts, and documents procedures.
• Maintains infection-control policies and cleans and sterilizes equipment.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and safe, clean work environment.
