Job summary

The University of Florida College of Dentistry is seeking a Dental Assistant I or II to provide chairside and administrative support, helping to deliver high-quality student education and patient care. Staff work within Clinical Care Groups and use Outlook, axiUm, Excel, Word, and Windows 7 daily.

Ideal candidates bring strong chairside skills, infection control proficiency, and a collaborative approach to support student dentists and clinical staff in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and BLS certification required for I and II.
• Dental Assistant II requires HS or equivalent + 3 years experience and BLS, EFDA cert.
• EFDA Certification demonstrates completion of training per Florida Administrative Code.

Responsibilities

• Provide four-handed dentistry support to students during clinic sessions.
• Maintain infection control standards throughout patient care activities.
• Assist with clinic setup, maintenance, and inventory management for the 22-chair clinic.
• Attend daily huddles, proctor mock exams, and participate in UFCD Quality Assurance processes.
• Support patient education and administrative tasks within the Clinical Care Group.
