Job summary

The University of Florida College of Dentistry is seeking an OPS Dental Assistant to provide dental assisting and administrative support. You will work in a patient-centered environment, supporting high-quality student education while ensuring clinical efficiency across a 22-chair clinic.

Required are a high school diploma, two years of relevant experience, and certifications in Dental Assisting, Radiology, and BLS. Proficiency with Outlook, axiUm, Excel and MS Office is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and two years of appropriate experience.
• Fundamentals of Dental Assisting certification, Radiology certification, and BLS certification.
• Appropriate college coursework or vocational training may substitute at an equivalent rate.

Responsibilities

• Provide four-handed and six-handed chairside general dentistry assisting for student dentists.
• Maintain infection control standards during patient care activities.
• Support clinical staff and prepare clinics for daily student use.
• Maintain attendance records and assist with student orientation and safety.
• Participate in UFCD Quality Assurance and daily huddles.
