Carolina Family Health Centers, Inc. in Elm City, NC seeks a Dental Assistant I/II at the Carolina Family Dental Center to support dentists, prepare operatories, and assist in patient care.

This full-time role offers a 40-hour workweek, no weekends, a comprehensive benefits package with 12 paid holidays, bi-weekly pay, and opportunities to work across dental care, with emphasis on radiography and infection control per North Carolina requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of dental assistant experience for Dental Assistant I and two or more years for Dental Assistant II, with radiography, medical emergency, infection control, coronal polishing and nitrous oxide course completion as required by NC.
• Strong communication and patient interaction skills; attention to detail.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains a positive relationship with patients.
• Assists dentist in all phases of dental care.
• Prepares operatories for examinations and procedures.
• Reviews treatment plans with patients and provides oral hygiene instruction.
• Assists in documentation of dental records under the dentist's supervision.
• Adheres to safety and security policies and procedures.
