Responsibilities of the Dental Assistant include: assisting the dentist and hygienists with procedures, preparation and sterilization of instruments/equipment, capturing radiographs, providing knowledge of oral hygiene instruction/education to patients, maintaining patient records, inventory, ensuring tidiness of treatment areas, maintaining patient flow, reception, and assisting the rest of the dental team in expediting patient care whenever possible, while performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school graduate or GED equivalency required.
One year's experience as a dental assistant or one year of dental assisting school required.
Certifications
Certification in Dental Radiology in the state of Pennsylvania.
Current CPR certification.
Spanish-speaking skills a plus.
