Position Title: Dental Assistant

Location: Delta Health Center, Inc. – Mound Bayou, MS

Job Type: Full-Time

Reports To: Dental Director

Position Summary

Seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to support our dental team by assisting during procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining a clean environment. Ideal for someone passionate about dental health in a patient-centered setting.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare treatment rooms and assist the dentist during procedures
2. Sterilize instruments and follow infection control protocols
3. Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays)
4. Record treatment information in patient records
5. Provide oral care instructions post-treatment
6. Schedule appointments and manage supplies
7. Create a welcoming environment for patients

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of an accredited dental assisting program preferred
• Current Dental Assistant certification or eligibility (Mississippi law)
• Radiology certification preferred
• CPR certification required
• Excellent communication skills
• Community health experience is a plus
