Job summary

Avon Dental Group in Avon, CT is seeking a dependable Dental Assistant to support a growing team in a modern, patient-centered practice. You will work closely with experienced providers, helping with general and specialty procedures in a well-equipped facility offering digital X-rays and paperless charting using Eaglesoft & Dentrix.

The role emphasizes patient comfort, accurate charting, and collaborative care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program is preferred.
• DANB CDA, ICE, RHS and CPR certification are preferred.
• Experience with Eaglesoft or Dentrix preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm and comfortable experience for patients.
• Assist with a variety of dental procedures including general and specialty care.
• Prepare operatories and sterilize instruments to OSHA standards.
• Capture diagnostic-quality digital X-rays.
• Support the doctor with procedures including suctioning, instrument passing, tray setup, and patient communication.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment instructions.
• Track and order inventory, restock supplies, and maintain cleanliness in the operatories.
• Accurately chart in Eaglesoft/Dentrix and support front-office coordination as needed.
