Job summary

Avon Dental Group is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our Avon, CT team in a fast-paced, patient-centered practice. You will assist with general and specialty procedures, maintain operatory readiness, and provide patient education in a high-tech setting using Eaglesoft and Dentrix.

We offer an hourly wage of $23–$25 with bonuses, a comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities for growth and mentorship within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program (preferred).
• DANB CDA, ICE, RHS, and current CPR certification (preferred).
• Experience with Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar dental software (preferred).
• Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm and comfortable experience for patients.
• Assist with a variety of dental procedures including general and specialty care.
• Prepare operatories and sterilize instruments to OSHA standards.
• Capture diagnostic-quality digital X-rays.
• Support the doctor with procedures including suctioning, instrument passing, tray setup, and patient communication.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment instructions.
• Track and order inventory, restock supplies, and maintain cleanliness in the operatories.
• Accurately chart in Eaglesoft/Dentrix and support front-office coordination as needed.
