Job summary

Southwest-Pediatric-Dental in Orland Park, IL, is seeking a friendly Dental Assistant to support the patient experience. You will greet patients, take radiographs, impressions, and intraoral photos, and prepare and sterilize the treatment room.

Qualifications

• Active license/registration to practice as a dental assistant as required by your state.
• 6+ months of experience as a dental assistant.
• CPR or BLS certification.
• CODA-accredited dental assisting program (preferred).
• Quick learner with strong problem solving skills.
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• Comfortable with software used for charting, records, and scheduling.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Organized with strong knowledge of dentistry and dental terminology.

Responsibilities

• Greet and support patients before, during, and after their appointment.
• Take and process dental radiographs, impressions, and intraoral photos.
• Prepare and sterilize the treatment room and equipment.
• Document dental care services by charting patient records.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, patient centered working environment.
