Job summary

WEST COAST DENTAL SERVICES in Fontana, CA is seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to support clinicians in a fast-paced, multi-location DSO. You will sterilize rooms, prepare instruments, take X-rays, document procedures, and educate patients on post-treatment care, while maintaining compliance with California regulations.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of experience, valid CA DA certification, CPR/BLS, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of dental assisting experience.
• Active California Dental Assistant certification is required.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.
• Experience with Denticon or similar dental software preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure proper sterilization of instruments
• Assist dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
• Take digital X-rays in compliance with CA radiology standards
• Chart procedures and document clinical notes accurately
• Provide patient education on post-treatment care and oral hygiene
• Maintain inventory and assist with ordering dental supplies
• Ensure OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control compliance
• Support front office when needed to enhance patient experience
