Qualifications

• Must hold current Dental Assistant license or certification as required by state.
• Radiology (x-ray) certification required by state.
• CPR or BLS certification current.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Proficient chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry.

Responsibilities

• Assist with directing the DA office team to maintain patient flow.
• Assist doctors during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Breakdown operatory rooms for doctors and hygienists.
• Complete sterilization processes and ensure staff training on procedures.
• Follow maintenance schedules for waterlines, autoclave, and compressors.
• Tray and operatory setup for all procedures.
• Support patient charting for doctors.
• Train others to execute patient handoffs and monitor patient flow.
• Follow OSHA and HIPAA requirements.
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays).
• Educate patients on post-treatment oral hygiene.
• Complete denture relines and temporary crowns.
• Monitor laboratory cases.
