Job summary

The North American Dental Group-affiliated practice in Napoleon, OH is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team. You will support clinicians with chair-side procedures, prepare patients for treatment, and help maintain a safe, efficient operatory.

This full-time role requires a Dental Assisting Certification (or on-the-job training), Radiography/X-Ray certification, CPR, and proficiency with MS Office. Schedule: Mon–Thu 7:45am–5:00pm, Wed 7:45am–7:00pm, and alternating Fridays 7:45am–1:00pm.

Qualifications

• Dental Assisting Certification or prior on-the-job training.
• 1-5 years of experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
• Radiography/X-Ray certification (state-specific).
• Current CPR certification.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• A commitment to delivering exceptional service and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional chair-side clinical support to dentists and hygienists, including charting, operatory setup/cleanup, and patient education.
• Record and review patient health histories, make chart entries under the dentist's direction, and ensure all documentation is complete.
• Set up trays and instruments based on the daily schedule and procedure requirements.
• Prepare patients, sterilize/disinfect instruments, and maintain asepsis following OSHA standards.
• Assist with dental procedures, including exposing and developing diagnostic radiographs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and other certifications and safety requirements.
