Job summary

Dental Care of Bennington, part of Heartland Dental, seeks a Dental Assistant to join our team. New graduates welcome. You’ll greet patients from the start of their dental journey, review health histories, take x-rays with iTero and other tech, and provide four-handed chairside assistance.

You’ll use Dentrix for scheduling, maintain safety protocols, manage supplies, and collaborate to implement Heartland Dental systems. The role offers training and growth opportunities within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required by state act.
• Experience with fast-paced patient care and strong communication skills.
• Ability to maintain organization and accuracy in a busy practice.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients at the start of their dental journey and provide education throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history to support quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostics (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to dentists during procedures.
• Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols and OSHA/CDC guidance.
• Manage supplies and inventory, placing and expediting orders as needed.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems and optimize workflow.
