The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a Dental Assistant to provide dental care to underserved populations. This role offers opportunities for professional growth and flexible work hours, serving the community by ensuring access to vital dental services.
The anticipated salary range for this position will be$52,007 - $75,686.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a Dental Assistantwith a desire to work in a variety of public health settings, playing a vital role in oral health care for those who do not traditionally have access dental services. Your work will serve populations in need such as children, seniors, pregnant women and adults with limited access to dental care. This position offers not only a rewarding career but many opportunities for professional growth as we collaborate with several community dental partners.
The Dental Assistant will support both the patient and the dental team, ensuring safe operations using current infection prevention and control measures and will provide important chair side care. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Experience: One (1) year of experience as a Dental Assistant.
Education: Completion of high school or High School Certificate of completion recognized in the State of Maryland and proof of enrollment or completion of a Dental Assistant Program approved by the Maryland State Board of Dental Examiners is required.
Equivalency: None.
CERTIFICATION:
• Certification in Radiation Technology and Level III CPR is preferred, but must be acquired within an agreed upon time from date of employment.

LICENSE:
• Possession and maintenance at all times of a valid Class "C" (or equivalent) driver’s license from the applicant's state of residence.
Preferred Criteria:
The applications of those individuals meeting the minimum qualifications will be reviewed to determine the extent, relevancy of training, and experience in the following areas:
