UTMB School of Health Professions is seeking a Correctional Managed Care Dental Assistant to provide patient care and support in a correctional setting. The role involves performing dental procedures, maintaining clinic orderliness, and managing inventory. Candidates must hold a current dental assistant registration and CPR certification.
The mission of Correctional Managed Care is to address the healthcare needs of underserved patient populations within the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) and the Texas Juvenile Justice Department (TJJD).
Performs direct and indirect patient care procedures, as well as general clinical and support tasks, as specifically delegated or directed by the supervising dentist.
Standard office and dental clinic equipment.
Located within a prison, jail, or juvenile detention center. Security clearance and pre-employment drug testing are required. May be required to provide dental assistance at multiple facilities.
Salary is commensurate with relevant experience.
