Job summary

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent (required).
• Completion of a Dental Assistant Certification program from an accredited program (required).
• At least six months of on‑the‑job training and/or experience in a clinic or dentist's office (preferred).
• BLS certification is mandatory (required).

Responsibilities

• Sterilization, lab work and chair side assisting as directed by the Dentist.
• Prepare treatment trays and operatory setup for scheduled procedures.
• Greet patients, escort them to the provider, and manage patient flow.
• Take and record medical and dental histories including pre‑medication requirements; record vital signs.
• Notify the treating provider if blood pressure is pre‑hypertensive or greater.
