Job summary

AscendentHealth in Wisconsin is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our clinical team. You will assist the dentist during procedures, prepare instruments, and help ensure patient comfort in a fast-paced office.

You will maintain infection control, take digital x‑rays, enter progress notes, manage appointment flow, and educate patients on oral care while upholding HIPAA standards. We offer uniform allowance, full-time status, medical and dental coverage after 90 days, paid time off,

Qualifications

• Proficient in charting with the doctor and RDH using dental terminology.
• Knowledge of infection control standards and aseptic techniques.
• Familiar with imaging techniques: periapical, panoramic, bitewing.
• Expanded duties: provisional fabrication and cement, gingival retraction.
• iTero scanning experience helpful but not required.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist the doctor during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and materials following infection control protocols.
• Take digital x-rays, create treatment plans, and enter progress notes.
• Maintain accurate medical information, including health histories, med lists, treatment plans, and progress notes.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-op instructions.
• Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow to optimize office efficiency.
• HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
• Support the practice in maintaining an aseptic environment through infection control measures.
