About the Job:

We seek an enthusiastic Dental Assistant to enhance our patient experience. The ideal candidate will excel in building patient relationships and supporting our team’s success.

Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM (may start as early as 9 AM for surgeries or implants), Saturday: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Location: Dental Studio - Mountainview, Georgetown, ON

Responsibilities:

• Build strong patient relationships with professionalism
• Assist with a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, endodontics, and surgery
• Take radiographs and dental impressions as prescribed
• Perform lab duties like impressions and mouthguard fabrication
• Maintain sterilization and disinfection protocols
• Ensure availability of dental supplies during procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms following infection control standards
• Adhere to health and safety regulations
• Assist in managing medical and dental emergencies
• Update and maintain dental records and appointments
• Gather and complete treatment consent forms
• Provide post-operative instructions
• Keep clinical and storage areas clean and organized
• Monitor and order dental supplies regularly
• Identify scheduling gaps and suggest improvements
• Collaborate with colleagues during downtime
• Participate in continuing education as needed

Requirements:

• Graduate from a recognized Dental Assisting Program (Level II)
• Pass the NDAEB exam
• 2-3 years recent dental assisting experience
• Experience with implants and surgeries
• Proficiency with AbelDent is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail, organized, reliable
• Additional certifications are advantageous
