Job summary

Northern Virginia Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Associates in Annandale, VA, is seeking a Dental Assistant to support the clinical team and deliver high-quality patient care in a team-based setting.

Responsibilities include room preparation, sterilization, assisting dentists, taking X-rays, patient education, and maintaining records. Eligible candidates should have a one-year approved dental assistant program, X-ray certification, CPR, and HIPAA/OSHA training.

Qualifications

• Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program.
• X-Ray certification required.
• CPR, OSHA and HIPAA training maintained annually.
• Nitrous oxide certification recommended.

Responsibilities

• Clinical support: prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient care: welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene.
• Radiography & diagnostics: take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions.
• Maintain patient records and assist with scheduling as needed.
• Assist in emergencies by maintaining CPR certification and emergency supplies.
