The ideal candidate is an upbeat, professional and reliable person who is looking to work in a multi-specialty office who sees patients of all ages. Preferably with certification Dental Assistant to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
- Explaining office procedures before treatment to patients.
- Providing quality and compassionate care to every patient before, during and after dental treatment.
- Patient management during dental procedures.
- Dental charting of patient's pre-existing and accurate inputting of patient progress notes.
- Providing patients with post-op instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures, such as the placement of a restoration (filling).
- Taking impressions of patients' teeth for study casts (models of teeth).
- Preparing and maintaining dental instruments, supplies and equipment.
- Taking and developing x-rays, collecting and recording patient health histories.
- Serving as an infection control officer, developing infection control protocol and preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
- Monitor equipment and hand piece repairs for all operatory equipment, accurate completion and follow up of repair logs.
- Completion of daily/weekly/monthly tasks including autoclave testing and cleaning of traps.
- Assisting with monthly supply order.
- Assisting clinic with recall and treatment plan reports, when requested.
- Responsible for adhering to all government and company regulations.
- Helping to provide direct patient care in all dental specialties, including orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, and oral surgery.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a customer service environment and good computer skills are necessary.
- An upbeat attitude and outgoing personality are a MUST to succeed in this position.
- Ability to handle multiple, simultaneous tasks.
- A people person/team player.
Required:
- Dental Assisting experience.
- Must possess great chair side manners.
- Ability to adapt to different needs and techniques.
- An individual who can work under pressure and strives to advance.
- An individual who adheres to policies and procedures.
- Bilinguals are a plus! Salary is based on experience.
Tuesday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm schedule.
