Job summary

Aspen Dental in State College, PA is hiring a full-time Dental Assistant. You will assist during procedures, take x-rays, prep and sterilize operatory, and support patient flow and charting. This role emphasizes infection control, patient education, and teamwork to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Active DANB RHS certification as required by the state of Pennsylvania.

• Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the dental team to provide exceptional patient care.
• High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Assist during a variety of treatment procedures
• Take dental x-rays
• Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment
• Execute patient handoffs and monitors patient flow within the practice
• Manage infection control – prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
• Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain good oral health
• Complete denture soft relines and manufacture temporary crowns
• Perform quality impressions and bite registrations
• Perform digital intraoral scans
• Support patient charting for doctors
• Perform various office tasks as necessary
• Collaborate with practice team to ensure optimum patient satisfaction
