This full-time position offers hourly pay based on experience, uniforms after 90 days, a 401(k) with company match after 90 days, PTO after 90 days, discounted dental services for self and immediate family, and a collaborative, growth‑oriented work environment.

Qualifications

  • Previous dental assisting experience preferred.
  • Experience in a private dental practice preferred.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments.
  • Strong understanding of infection control and sterilization procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional, dependable, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to be a supportive team member.
  • Current certifications and licenses required for the position and applicable to the state of practice.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the doctors during a variety of dental procedures.
  • Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for patient care.
  • Take dental X-rays as permitted by applicable regulations.
  • Assist with infection control, sterilization, and operatory turnover.
  • Prepare materials and instruments for procedures.
  • Update accurate and timely patient medical information.
  • Provide patients with post-operative instructions and education.
  • Help patients feel comfortable and cared for throughout their visit.
  • Assist with patient flow and daily clinical operations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked clinical environment.
  • Follow OSHA, HIPAA, infection-control, and practice protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with doctors, hygienists, front-office staff, and patients.
  • Perform other clinical and administrative duties as needed.
