Warwick Dentistry in Downtown Pittsburgh is seeking a Dental Assistant/Front Desk for a full-time, in-person role. You will support clinical teams chairside and periodically assist the front desk by handling calls, scheduling, and check-out processes.

POSITION SUMMARY

We’re seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Dental Assistant who takes real pride in keeping a room — and a day — running like clockwork. You'll work chairside with our dentist and clinical team delivering high-quality patient care, in an environment that notices and appreciates the difference a great assistant makes. In addition, you’ll have the chance to work hand in hand with our front desk team periodically tending to the phones, building the schedule, and allowing full circle support to our patients by assisting in the check-out process.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical Support (2-3 days/ week)
  • Assist the dentist chairside during procedures, including preparation and instrument support
  • Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials ahead of every appointment
  • Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays) in accordance with regulations
  • Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment per infection-control protocol
  • Prepare impressions, models, and temporary restorations as needed
Business Support (1-2 days/ week)
  • Assist with answering phones, patient scheduling and overall customer service
  • Checking patients in and out from appointments
  • Collecting copays as indicated from existing treatment plans
Patient Care
  • Welcome patients and get them comfortably ready for treatment
  • Review medical histories and keep patient records current
  • Provide clear post-operative instructions and patient education
  • Keep patients at ease and address concerns throughout the visit
Administrative & Office Support
  • Maintain accurate patient records and clinical notes
  • Manage inventory and keep dental supplies stocked and ready
  • Jump in on scheduling, confirmations, and front-office tasks as needed
  • Support full compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and state dental regulations
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
  • X-ray certification
Preferred
  • Previous experience in a dental office or clinical setting
  • Experience with Dentrix is a plus
WORK ENVIRONMENT

This is an in-person, hands-on clinical role at our practice, with occasional standing, bending, and lifting of dental equipment.
