SJS Endodontics is seeking a versatile Dual Dental Assistant and Front Office Specialist to join our team. This full-time role supports clinicians and front desk operations, ensuring a smooth patient experience from check-in to checkout, four days per week, Tue–Fri, 7am–4pm.

Responsibilities span chairside assisting, radiography, billing, scheduling, and records management, with a patient-first, team-oriented approach.

• Prepare and break down operatories; maintain cleanliness.
• Take and process X-rays; CBCT experience is a plus.
• Follow infection control & safety guidelines.
• Educate patients on treatments and post-operative care.
• Greet and check in patients; maintain welcoming reception.
• Register patients and verify records; update charts.
• Verify insurance; explain benefits to patients.
• Schedule appointments; manage reminders and records.
• Process payments; reconcile daily cash; work claims.
• Maintain lobby and reception area.

Overview

Full Time Dental Assistant/Front office – SJS Endodontics

SJS Endodontics is seeking a versatile and team-oriented Dual Dental Assistant and Front Office Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our providers to deliver high-quality clinical care, support efficient daily operations, and help create an outstanding patient experience from start to finish. You will bridge the gap between clinical support and patient administration, ensuring a smooth, welcoming, and professional environment for everyone who walks through our doors.

Schedule: Full-time, 4 days per week, Tuesday thru Friday 7am-4pm, No Weekends or evenings!

Responsibilities

Clinical Support & Chairside Assisting

• Chairside Assistance: Provide hands-on chairside assistance during endodontic procedures.
• Operatory Management: Prepare, organize, and thoroughly break down operatories before and after treatments.
• Radiography: Take and process high-quality X-rays (CBCT experience is a major plus).
• Sanitation: Strictly perform sterilization and infection control procedures following health and safety guidelines.
• Patient Education: Clearly educate patients on upcoming treatments and crucial post-operative care instructions.

Front Office & Patient Administration

• Patient Reception: Greet and check in patients and visitors while consistently providing an upbeat and welcoming atmosphere.
• Registration & Records: Register patients, verify that records are accurate, update computer systems/patient charts, and scan required documents (driver’s licenses, insurance cards, and referral forms).
• Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance prior to the scheduled date of service and effectively communicate benefits to patients.
• Scheduling & Intake: Schedule appointments, enter them into the system, conduct reminder calls, and obtain necessary records before a patient's scheduled service date.
• Billing & Check-out: Check patients out, prepare treatment plans, collect payments, and reconcile daily cash reports. Working outstanding claim reports and working with insurance payors and reconciling claims.
• Office Maintenance: Maintain and clean the lobby and reception area to ensure a professional presentation.

The salary range for this role is $18-$22 per hour.
