Job summary

Fenway Health in Boston, MA is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to support dentists, residents and hygienists in direct patient care, sterilization, chair-side assistance, and administrative tasks within a unionized setting. Under the Dental Assistant Supervisor, you will prepare operatories, manage supplies, and assist with lab work while ensuring patient confidentiality and professional conduct

Qualifications

• Massachusetts Dental Assisting License is required.
• CPR (BLS) certification is required.
• Radiology certification is required.
• High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists, residents, and hygienists in direct patient care.
• Prepare operatory and maintain infection control and sterilization.
• Perform chair-side assistance and related lab work (tray whitening etc.).
• Manage inventory of dental instruments and supplies.
• Handle front desk tasks when needed, including patient registration and scheduling.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and professional conduct.
• Adhere to safety policies and participate in quality improvement activities.
• Greet patients and assist with administrative tasks as directed.
