Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center’s MMG - School Health Dental unit seeks a Dental Assistant to support dentists in pediatric and school-based settings. You will take digital x-rays, prepare treatment rooms, and maintain sterile conditions for daily procedures.

Under supervision, you’ll manage supplies, assist with patient flow, and escort students between clinics. Travel within the Bronx DOE sites may be needed; a strong focus on safety and documentation is required.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail in keeping logs and infection control standards.
• Strong interpersonal skills to support and escort students and families.
• Accurate documentation of procedures, inventory and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Proficiently take and develop dental x-rays as ordered by the dentist.
• Set up operatory with supplies and equipment for daily procedures.
• Maintain clean and sterile operatory spaces and manage infection control logs.
• Monitor autoclaving processes and quality control for sterile solutions.
