A.T. Still University's Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU-ASDOH) on the Mesa campus seeks a full-time Dental Assistant (Float) to support students, residents, and faculty. The role focuses on maintaining operatory cleanliness, patient care support, and collaboration with the dental team.

The candidate should have CPR and X-ray certifications, 2–3 years of dental assisting experience, and familiarity with EHR systems. OSHA/HIPAA knowledge and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• CPR certification and X-ray certification required.
• 2–3 years of dental assisting experience.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) software.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards, aseptic procedures, HIPAA regulations, sterilization.
• Professional appearance with strong communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain supply levels and cleanliness of operatories.
• Manage suction lines and DUWL.
• Coordinate weekly meetings with students.
• Close clinic operations and transport instruments to sterilization.
• Process biopsies in oral/perio surgery.
• Participate in staff and departmental meetings.
• Provide feedback on supply usage and cost-saving measures.
