Job summary

Omega & Kennett Endodontics - Newark is seeking a talented Dental Assistant to join our busy specialty practice at Newark, DE and Kennett Square locations. You will welcome patients, help prepare them for treatment, assist the dentist in 4-handed dentistry, sterilize instruments, and keep the operatory clean and stocked while maintaining accurate records.

You will schedule appointments, manage payments, and coordinate with multiple locations to ensure smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• No experience required but preferred.
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
• Understanding of health & safety regulations
• Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks
• Good computer skills
• Excellent communication and people skills
• A strong attention to detail
• Well-organized and reliable
• A high school diploma
• A certificate from an accredited dental assistant program (if required by law)
• An active state radiology license (if required by law)
• Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods
• Must be able to operate standard office equipment
• Must be able to assist patients safely in and out of chairs or treatment areas
• Must be able to maintain clinical positioning for extended periods
• Must be able to work around medical equipment and instruments
• Must be able to adhere to OSHA and infection control standards
• Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements
• Must be able to respond quickly in emergency situations

• Welcoming patients to the dental office

• Assisting the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
