Job summary

Aspen Dental in Novi, MI is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to support clinicians, manage patient flow, and perform chairside duties including radiographs and sterilization. You will train staff and uphold HIPAA and OSHA standards in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.

The role includes hands-on procedure support, patient education, and ensuring operatory readiness with emphasis on safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Current Dental Assistant License or state requirement.
• Radiology (X-ray) certification as required by state.
• CPR or BLS certification current.
• 2+ years’ experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Proficient chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry.
• Demonstrate proper sterilization and infection control techniques.

Responsibilities

• Assist with directing DA office team to maintain patient flow.
• Assist doctors during treatment procedures.
• Breakdown operatory rooms for doctors and hygienists.
• Complete sterilization processes for equipment and operatory.
• Follow maintenance schedules for waterlines, suction lines, autoclave and compressor.
• Tray and operatory set-up for procedures.
• Support patient charting for doctors.
• Train others to hand off patients and monitor flow.
• Follow OSHA and HIPAA requirements.
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays).
• Educate patients on oral hygiene strategies.
