Job summary

Advanced Dental Care of Mount Dora is seeking a Dental Assistant to support our clinical team in Mount Dora, FL. You will assist dentists, prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and provide patient education.

The role requires completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program, with X-Ray and Nitrous Oxide certifications preferred, and a high school diploma or equivalent. A team-focused environment and opportunities for professional development are offered.

Qualifications

• Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program.
• Six months on-the-job-experience with supporting documentation.
• X-Ray certification.
• Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed).
• Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
