Job summary

Towncare Dental of Fort Myers is seeking a Dental Assistant to support the clinical team in Fort Myers, FL. You will prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures in a team-based environment.

You will welcome and educate patients on oral hygiene, take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models while upholding infection control and patient confidentiality. Strong emphasis on accurate records and scheduling, with CPR on hand.

Qualifications

• Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program.
• Six months on-the-job experience (with documentation).
• X-ray certification.
• Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and scheduling and assist with patient intake.
• Assist in managing dental emergencies by maintaining CPR certification and emergency supplies.
