Job summary

Aspen Dental is seeking a Dental Assistant in the United States to support clinicians, take dental x-rays, and ensure operatory setup and breakdown after procedures. You will help manage infection control and educate patients on oral hygiene.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; state-specific license/permit as required.
• Active license, registration, or permit as required by the state; including x-ray certification if required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Take dental x-rays.
• Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment.
• Execute patient handoffs and monitor patient flow within the practice.
• Manage infection control – prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.
• Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain good oral health.
• Complete denture relines and fabricate temporary crowns.
• Perform quality impressions and bite registrations.
• Perform digital intraoral scans.
• Support patient charting for doctors.
• Perform various office tasks as necessary.
• Collaborate with practice team to ensure optimum patient satisfaction.
