Job summary

iDental Orthodontics and General Dentistry is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team. This in-person role focuses on four-handed dentistry, denture impressions, fillings, extractions, and potential growth into orthodontic support.

Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred and chairside experience is required. The ideal candidate will handle multiple tasks calmly, follow OSHA and HIPAA guidelines, and be proficient in Dentrix or similar software.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with four-handed dentistry and routine dental procedures.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; chairside experience required.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
• Understanding of OSHA and HIPAA; training provided.
• Proficiency in Dentrix or similar dental software; experience with digital X-Rays a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with denture impressions, fillings, and extractions.
• Support orthodontic procedures and move toward orthodontic assistant duties.
• Maintain clean, organized operatories and accurate notes in patient records.
• Support team with scheduling, charting, and dictation as needed.

Here’s What We’re Looking For:

• Dental Knowledge: Familiarity with dental procedures like taking denture impressions, fillings, and extractions, with a strong emphasis on four-handed dentistry.
• Bilingual Skills: Preferred (English and Spanish) along with chairside experience (Required).
• Multi-Tasking Abilities: You should be comfortable handling multiple tasks and working well under pressure.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of OSHA and HiPPA regulations; we're ready to provide training.
• Software Proficiency: Fluency in Dentrix or other dental software is required, with a preference for a minimum of two years' experience. Experience with digital X-Rays, digital charting, and notes dictation is a plus.
• Orthodontic Skills: Experience in assisting with orthodontics is a significant advantage.
• Dental Expertise: Experience in general dentistry procedures, preferably with technical diplomas or related experience. Compensation is based on your experience and qualifications, and we offer attractive bonuses.
