Job summary

Aspen Dental in Citrus Heights, CA is hiring a Full-time Dental Assistant. You will support the DA office team, assist doctors during procedures, and manage operatory setup and sterilization. Radiology certification and CPR/BLS are required, with 2+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• Current Dental Assistant license, registration or certification as required by state.
• Radiology (x-ray) certification as required by state.
• CPR or BLS certificate validity as required by state.
• 2+ years' experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Proficient chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry.
• Demonstrate sterilization and infection control techniques.

Responsibilities

• Assist the DA office team to maintain productive patient flow.
• Assist doctors during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Breakdown operatory rooms for doctors and hygienists.
• Complete sterilization processes for equipment and operatory and ensure staff training and compliance.
• Maintain dental waterlines, suction lines, autoclave and compressor schedules.
• Tray and operatory setup for all procedures.
• Support patient charting for doctors.
• Train others to execute patient handoffs and monitor patient flow.
• Follow OSHA and HIPAA requirements.
• Take dental radiographs and provide post-treatment oral care instructions.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene strategies.
• Assist with denture relines and temporary crowns and monitor lab cases.
• Perform intraoral health scans and impressions.
• Support expanded functions as certified.
