Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Dental Assistant.
  • Current Dental Assistant License and state-required certifications.

Salary: $26 - $30 / hour

How You’ll Make a Difference

As an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant, you will perform duties to create lasting impressions and build trust with patients.

  • Assist with patient flow and support the dental team throughout the day
  • Assist doctors during treatment procedures
  • Prepare operatory rooms and sterilize equipment
  • Follow maintenance schedules for equipment and waterlines
  • Set up trays and operatory for procedures
  • Support patient charting and monitor patient flow
  • Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and safety regulations
  • Take dental radiographs (X-rays)
  • Provide oral care instructions and educate patients
  • Support laboratory cases and perform intraoral scans efficiently
  • Understand and teach clear aligner processes
  • Perform additional functions based on certification (e.g., coronal polishing)
  • Maintain emergency kits and supplies
  • Perform office tasks as needed
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Dental Assistant
  • Current Dental Assistant License and certification as required by state
  • Radiology (x-ray) certification and CPR/BLS certification
  • Proficient in chairside assisting and infection control
  • Maintain annual CE requirements and state certifications
