Job summary

Heart Of Florida Health Center Inc. seeks an entry-level dental assistant to support clinicians and patients in a fast-paced environment. The role includes chairside assisting, radiography, instrument sterilization, patient education, and accurate charting in eCW.

Candidates must have EFDA training with radiology, a current BLS certificate, a Florida driver’s license, and a HS diploma or GED. Some travel between HFHC sites may be required; Spanish speaking is a plus.

Qualifications

• EFDA certificate with radiology training required.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS certification from an approved provider.
• Florida driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform chairside dental assisting within Florida statutes and rules.
• Take and process dental radiographs as directed by the dentist.
• Sterilize and manage dental instruments per OSHA/CDC standards.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and treatment options; obtain signatures as needed.
• Assist the dentist in 4-handed dentistry and instrument transfers.
• Record accurate charting and perform data entry in eCW as required.
