Job summary

Falls Church Modern Dentistry, operated by Pacific Dental Services, LLC, is seeking an entry-level Dental Assistant. You will learn to perform basic dental assisting functions under the supervision of a licensed dentist and contribute to a seamless patient experience.

You will gain experience in infection control, radiographs, charting, and patient education while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This role is based at our Falls Church clinic.

Qualifications

• No prior dental experience is required.
• Customer services experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform basic dental assisting functions under direct supervision of the licensed dentist.
• Actively participate in the Perfect Patient Experience by keeping patients focused on optimal treatment and addressing individual needs.
• Learn infection control procedures for sterilization and operatory cleaning to ensure safety.
• Complete radiographs and intra-oral pictures after radiation safety requirements are met.
• Prepare for patient care procedures and provide chairside support; hand off to front desk for follow-up.
• Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care as directed by the dentist.
• Record patient charting and treatment notes in the digital chart as directed.
• Support patient care by presenting treatment records, consents and health history to the dentist.
• Maintain compliance with state, federal and other regulations (OSHA, HIPAA, ADA, etc.).
