Job summary

North American Dental Group is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our Defiance, OH area practice. You will provide essential clinical support, prepare patients for treatment, assist the dentist in restorative procedures, and maintain high standards of care and efficiency.

The role involves charting, instrument sterilization, radiography, and ensuring OSHA/HIPAA compliance while delivering excellent patient education and service.

Qualifications

• Dental Assisting Certification or prior on-the-job training.
• 1-5 years of experience preferred.
• Radiography/X-Ray certification (state-specific).
• Current CPR certification.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional service and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver chair-side clinical support to dentists and hygienists, including charting and operatory setup.
• Record and review patient health histories and ensure documentation is complete.
• Prepare patients, sterilize/disinfect instruments, and maintain asepsis per OSHA standards.
• Assist with dental procedures, including exposing and developing radiographs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and other certifications and safety requirements.
