Job description

We are seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to provide outstanding patient care in our Des Plaines office.

Excellent hourly compensation (based on experience).

Work Schedule: Must be able to work the following schedule:

Responsibilities:
  1. Perform a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties.
  2. Assist dentist chairside during examination and treatment of patients across various procedures.
  3. Provide a 5-star patient experience.
  4. Prepare instruments and materials for upcoming procedures.
  5. Provide direct patient care in all dental services including restorative, orthodontics, pediatric, endodontic, periodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery.
  6. Pass dental instruments between provider and assistant (4-handed dentistry).
  7. Make patients comfortable and prepare them for treatment.
  8. Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, and operatories post-treatment.
  9. Instruct patients on pre- and post-operative procedures and provide oral health education.
  10. Obtain dental radiographs and intra-oral scans/photos proficiently.
  11. Keep treatment records, charting existing restorations and planned treatments.
  12. Monitor and restock daily supplies.
  13. Assist the dentist with patient instructions post-treatment.
  14. Follow infection control protocols diligently.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • At least six months of dental assistant experience.
