Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the dental team in providing quality care to patients while ensuring a comfortable and efficient dental visit. Excellent customer service skills are essential. 1 year dental experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
• Prepare patients for dental work and ensure their comfort
• Take and record medical and dental histories and vital signs of patients
• Provide postoperative instructions prescribed by the dentist
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
• Prepare the treatment room for use by the dentist
• Maintain accurate patient records and schedule appointments

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and diagnosis
• Proficiency in infection control protocols (completed 8 hr OSHA)
• Ability to take accurate dental impressions and X-rays
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and staff
• Understanding of anatomy and oral health
• Valid CPR license
