Job summary

Centurion currently seeks a Dental Assistant for a full-time position at the Miami Correctional Facility in Bunker Hill, IN. The role works under the supervision of the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in a correctional setting.

Essential duties include sterilizing tools, preparing the operatory, operating radiographic equipment, and handling administrative tasks. A high school diploma or GED is required, plus relevant dental assisting training or experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a technical school program in dental assisting or minimum six months of experience required.
• Certification in Dental Radiology required.
• Expanded Duty Dental Assistant certification preferred.
• Must show/obtain PPD documentation for TB screening.
• CPR certification required.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance (drug screen and background check).

Responsibilities

• Preparing and sterilizing dental instruments.
• Preparing and maintaining the dental operatory.
• Operating radiographic equipment.
• Administrative tasks as needed.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Technical school program in dental assisting or 6 months experience

Certification in Dental Radiology

Expanded Duty Dental Assistant certification

PPD tuberculosis screening documentation

CPR certification

Ability to obtain security clearance
