Job summary

CPS Healthcare is seeking a dedicated dental assistant to join our team at the Suffolk County House of Correction in Boston, MA. This full-time position offers day shifts Tuesday through Friday with a competitive hourly wage based on experience.

Responsibilities include assisting the dentist, sterilizing instruments, handling intra-oral and extra-oral x-rays, maintaining equipment, and ensuring clinic cleanliness. CPR certification and 1 year of experience are required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of dental assistant experience.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct assistance by keeping the operating field clear, passing instruments and suctioning.
• Sterilize instruments in the dental office.
• Mix restorative materials as needed.
• Assist in taking intra-oral and extra-oral x-rays.
• Develop and mount x-ray films.
• Maintain x-ray unit, processor, autoclave and dental units.
