Qualifications

• Current, valid NC license/certification in good standing.
• Minimum of 1+ year of recent Dental Assistant experience.
• Copy of PSV from licensing board or verification agency if required.
• Copies of required certifications (e.g., BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test).

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during exams and procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials.
• Take and record patient histories.
• Take dental X-rays as permitted by state regulations.
• Sterilize instruments and follow infection control procedures.
• Assist with suctioning, instrument passing, and materials.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Document patient care in the dental record.
• Maintain clean, safe treatment areas and follow policies.
