Job summary

Cell Staff is seeking a licensed Dental Assistant to join our client’s facility in North Carolina. This full-time role involves assisting the dentist with cleanings and extractions for inmates, sterilizing instruments, and maintaining records.

Some weekends and 8- or 12-hour shifts may be required. The ideal candidate has an active state license, graduation from an accredited program, and at least 1 year of experience in dental assisting.

Qualifications

• Licensed Dental Assistant in good standing with the state license.
• Graduation from an accredited educational institution.
• 1+ year of relevant Dental Assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist with dental cleanings on inmates
• Assist the dentist with dental extractions on inmates
• Sterilize dental instruments and equipment
• Maintain inmate records
• Escort inmates to and from the dental clinic
• Assist with seating and preparing inmates for treatment
• Provide chairside assistance during procedures

Education

Dental Assistant Details

• Full Time Schedules
• Some weekends may be required
• 8 or 12 hour shifts available depending on the facility
• Contract Position (flexible with shift availability is a plus)

• Assist the dentist with dental extractions on inmates
• Sterilize dental instruments and equipment

• Escort inmates to and from the dental clinic
• Assist with seating and preparing inmates for treatment

Dental Assistant Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited educational institution
• Licensed as a Dental Assistant by the State in which the position is located. The license MUST be in good standing
• 1+ year of relevant Dental Assistant experience
