Midwest Dental, supported by Smile Brands, seeks a licensed Dental Assistant in Red Wing, MN to support the dental team during procedures, prepare instruments, and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

The ideal candidate has MN license, CPR, knowledge of infection control and OSHA/HIPAA, strong communication and patient-care focus. This full-time role offers weekday schedule M-Th 8-5 with competitive pay of $28-35/hour and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Active MN Licensed Dental Assistant.
• CPR certified.
• Knowledge of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and OSHA/HIPAA standards.
• Strong communication and commitment to excellent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including surgeries, fillings, cleanings, and other treatments.
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment before, during, and after patient treatment.
• Take digital X-rays, panoramic images, CBCT scans, and intraoral photos.
• Prepare materials for dental procedures (e.g., fillings, impressions, crowns).
• Provide chairside assistance, ensuring patients are comfortable and informed.
• Record and update patient medical histories and treatment plans in the dental software.
• Manage dental instruments and tools, passing them to the dentist as needed during procedures.
• Educate patients on post-treatment care and oral hygiene.
