Job summary

CHAS Health in Washington is seeking a Dental Assistant to support providers in delivering dental care across clinics and mobile events. You will greet patients, assist with exams, take X-rays, prepare rooms, and help maintain infection control per state guidelines.

Ideal candidates have an accredited dental assisting program (DANB preferred), current WA registration, CPR/BLS, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or CHAS Health training preferred.
• DANB certification preferred.
• WA Dental Assistant Registration required at time of hire; Idaho clinics require WA license within 120 days of hire.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance required.
• Regularly lifting/moving up to 25 pounds; mobility throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

• Greets and escorts patient to dental chair.
• Reviews and updates patient charts.
• Assists dental provider with procedures and patient education.
• Takes X-rays as needed.
• Ensures dental exam areas are clean, stocked, and ready for patients.
• Cleans, prepares, and sterilizes instruments.
• Answers phones and schedules patients, as needed.
• Observes and follows required safety protocols and PPE usage.
• Performs other duties to support CHAS Health mission.
• Mobile Dental: supports events with navigation, front office support, unit prep, transport, and closing.
