The University at Buffalo is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant for its UB Dental teaching facility. You will work closely with patients of all ages and support dental students while ensuring high standards of infection control and safety in a busy academic environment.

As a vital part of UB Dental, you will assist licensed practitioners, help prepare operatories, and stay current with best practices and regulatory requirements to deliver quality patient care to the Buffalo-Niagara community.

Qualifications

High school diploma and either 1 year of experience in Dental Assisting or graduation from an accredited program in dental assisting.
CPR Certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.
DANB Certified Dental Assistant (CDA).
3 years of Dental Assistant experience.

Responsibilities

Serve as chair-side assistant to licensed dental practitioners, and dental students in examination and treatment of patients in all phases of dentistry.
Obtain and replenish supplies, filing and setting up operatories for all necessary procedures.
Assist in regulatory compliance and keep abreast of new developments, techniques and materials, and ensure adherence to proper infection control protocol.
