Job summary

CFG Health Systems, LLC in New Jersey is seeking a Dental Assistant to support the Dentist in providing high-quality care to inmate patients within a correctional facility. The role ensures efficient, safe, and compliant dental operations in line with CFG guidelines and contract obligations.

You will prepare instruments, assist with procedures, perform sterilization, take dental X-rays, maintain patient charts, and educate patients on oral hygiene.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Completion of an accredited dental program.
• CDA credential.
• Current state X-Ray license.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Dentist during procedures, including preparing instruments, materials, suction, and retraction.
• Perform sterilization of instruments and disinfect operatories between patients.
• Assist with diagnostic X-rays and preparation of dental materials (cement, composite, impression materials, etc.).
• Maintain accurate patient dental charts and record findings.
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene and preventative care.
