Job summary

Waco Family Medicine seeks a Full-Time Dental Assistant in Waco, TX. You will assist dentists in chairside procedures, prepare instruments, take radiographs, sterilize equipment, and manage patient records. The role includes scheduling, reception duties, and helping with billing processes.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, an accredited dental assisting certification, and Texas RDA certification, plus CPR. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Accredited dental assisting certification preferred.
• Current Registered Dental Assistant Certificate (Texas).
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists and hygienists in chairside procedures.
• Prepare and set up instruments, materials, and equipment.
• Expose and process dental radiographs.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain equipment and work areas.
• Schedule patients and perform routine reception duties.
• Accurately record information on patient records.
• Assist with processing encounters, billing and bookkeeping.
• Identify related medical/social problems and complete insurance forms.
• Order supplies and maintain inventory; attend important meetings.
